SC-ST Act: Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will also file review petition
The
BJP-ruled electoral state will file a review petition to avoid the
possibility of the Supreme Court's decision on the SC-ST Act. In this regard, the central government has already filed a petition in the apex court seeking reconsideration of the decision. Now Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan government can also become a party in this matter. On behalf of these governments, a petition will be filed and it will
be said that its purpose has been weakened by the court's decision on
the SC-ST Act, in which case it should be re-considered.
Given the aggressive attitude of anger and opposition in the Dalit and tribal communities, the three electoral states have decided to file a petition. Apart from these, the southern province of Tamil Nadu has also decided to go to the Supreme Court. The Central Government had said in the Supreme Court that the state was also in favor of reconsidering this decision. Chhattisgarh withdraws circular order of March 20While hearing the review petition filed by the Center, the apex court had said that it has not weakened any of the provisions of the Act in its decision. The apex court said that the law should not be unjust and the innocent person should get justice. A top BJP leader said that the party's central leadership has talked to the Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and asked them to go to court. CM Raman Singh of tribal-dominated state Chhattisgarh said that he also asked the police department to withdraw the circular issued on March 20 order.
