Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan stranded in Supreme Court order in SC-ST Act
Bhopal / Raipur / Jaipur (Bureau). The
three state governments have been trapped by the Supreme Court's order
to ban the immediate arrest of the judges of Madhya Pradesh,
Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan by the directors of the Director General of
Police, in order to stop the arrest of the accused under the Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act. The Chhattisgarh government has postponed the order issued from the police headquarters.
At
the same time, after the 12-hour churn of the MP government, it was
decided that the action will be in accordance with the order of the
Supreme Court. The Chief Minister of Rajasthan says that he is not aware of any such step taken by the state police. After
12 hours of churning in MP, the central government was entangled for
nearly 12 hours on Tuesday after the decision of Chhattisgarh. Finally at 9 pm, the government decided that under the Supreme Court's
decision, the MP Police will take action in the cases of SC-ST Act.
The DGP has instructed the office to review the circular issued on March 28 and take further action. Sources said that the police officers put the fact before Home Minister Bhupendra Singh that the decision of the Supreme Court takes the form of law and there is also an argument given how it is possible in Chhattisgarh. Due to the long standing meeting, the media was waiting for the minister. Seeing no decision, he was suspended from the media. Finally, the government decided on the night and issued an official statement from Home Minister Bhupendra Singh.
While ordering the headquarters of the police headquarters in Chagga, the police headquarters in Chhattisgarh issued a circular on April 6 that no one should be arrested without investigating the charges imposed under this Act. When the state government came to know about this, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh postponed the order issued from the police headquarters. Raman Singh announced that the state government will file a petition in the Supreme Court on this issue. In the interaction with the media, the Chief Minister said that the state government is accountable to protect the honor of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes.
In Rajasthan, the police officers issued the instructions only two days after the Supreme Court order. When this matter came to a fortnight after a fortnight, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said, "The Police Department has issued this order without my knowledge. We do not support this order. I have asked the Home Minister and the Police Department to issue an explanation so that there is no confusion. '

In Rajasthan, the government is in favor of this review petition. In all the three states, the population of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is more in some areas. The three states have assembly elections in November-December this year.
