New Delhi: Today is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi of the Father of the Nation. People in the world are remembering Bapu and his stories. The point is to note that on October 2, another great person of our country is also the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has posted two video messages on his twitter page in memory of these two great figures.
Posting this video message made on Bapu, PM Modi has written, "Shouting the Father of the Nation on Gandhi Jayanti" From today we are entering Pujya Bapu's 150th anniversary year. It is a great opportunity for all of us to fulfill their dreams.
While posting a video message in memory of Lal Bahadur Shastri, PM Modi has written, "The humble tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri, a symbol of gentle personality, skillful leadership and enthusiasm, to his birth anniversary. Jai jawan jai kisan!'
Before this, on Tuesday, the people of tribute paying tribute to Rajghat at Bapu's mausoleum in the early hours of Tuesday. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several senior politicians including Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, reached Rajghat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
It is known that Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar of Gujarat. Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2 October 1904 in Mughalsarai in Uttar Pradesh.
