Burden honest people with unfavorable debt: President
NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind has said that the rising debt crisis in the banking sector is a matter of factual burden on taxpayers.
President Ram Namath Kovind has said that the burden of deliberate suspects and fraudulent criminal actions taken by bank lenders will ultimately cost the taxpayer people honestly.
Speaking at the annual meeting organized by the FICCI Women's Unit (FLO), the Industrial Board explained the crisis in the banking sector.
The number of deliberate lenders increased to 9,063 by December 2017. In such cases, there are more than Rs 1 lakh crores of debt liabilities. Besides, Rs 7.77 lakh crore has been earmarked for public sector banks. NPA (Non-Loanable Loans).
